Sign of the times

I know this is very old news after some 80 degree days last week, but Spring has definitely sprung!
I am beyond excited and have some photos to prove it.

Exhibit A.

My new spring/summer wreath:  While on the hunt for the perfect bath rug last weekend, I decided to swing by my friend Joann's and grab some supplies to make a little pick-me-up for my needs-a-deep-clean/wipe-down front door.

Exhibit B.

After a mere 19 days ago and the yard looking like this:

Today, the grass is green and the buds on my Magnolia tree look like they are going to bust open any day... I am thinking Sunday will be the day they finally show their pretty pale faces.

Exhibit C.

Because Spring Has Sprung and even though it's raining at the moment, I am feeling oh-so-friendly tonight.  Although some minor touches still need to be made to the shower area and the floor tile is there for measurement purposes only right now, I am giving you lucky readers a sneak peak at Bathroom Wright:

Can't you just feel it getting closer to completion??  I can!

While I've Been Away...

I have been doing a ton o-stuff.  Bathroom stuff, family stuff, friend stuff, (some) craft stuff and whatever stuff.
I have been meaning to write for about a week but I can't think of anything write-worthy at the moment.  I kind of feel like the less I blog, the less I have to write about, which is not good.
I go back and fourth on whether or not I want to give you a sneak peek into my ceramic tile world that is happening in the bathroom, but then I decided that I think i am going to wait until it's done.  HOPEFULLY it won't be too much longer.  It's a long and often a lot of times grueling process, but we are powering through and if all goes my way (which it hardly ever does), the tile in the shower should be done this weekend and I can move on with my life.  Or at least move onto the floor tile, which I suppose will be my life for following weeks to come.

Anyway, on a few blogs I read they will do a random post where they will just "dump" all of the photos they have taken on their iPhone over the past XXX days and blog about it.  Well unless you want to see 50 photos of dogs, I will not be doing that.  That said, I will give you some highlights.

Fabric:
After searching high and low for a shower curtain that would make my soon-to-be new bathroom feel all warm and fuzzy I came to the conclusion that I couldn't seek it out, because I would never find what I was looking for--I had to wait until it found me.  I had a vision in my head, but wasn't positive as to what it was.  So while strolling through Joann's one day I mozied on over to the fabric section and there she was, front and center, smiling at me like she was just waiting for me to take her over to the fabric cutter, give her a haircut and take her home and make a curtain out of her.  I gave my godmother (which who you may remember, also made my kitchen curtains) a call and she was on board for another curtain project.

Centerpiece:
Although it's technically not in the center of my table because the center of my table is taken up by other things such as junk mail, real but semi-dying flowers, cards and an empty Kohl's bag at the moment, this is in fact, meant to be a centerpiece.  With some Pinterest inspiration in mind, I went to to the Easter section at Joann's and decided to fill my empty vase with something Spring-ey.  Sorry for the poor quality--my camera phone although fairly good, doesn't do justice to the actual cute-ness of this piece of art.

Concert:
Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean.  Need I say more?

Food:
My newfound favorite--adding pickles to my ham sandwich.  I don't know why I didn't think of it until a couple weeks ago (courtesy of my brother and sister-in-law)--I always get pickles on my sandwiches at Subway, but never thought to do it on the home front.  Let me just tell you...YUM.  Don't go cheap though if you try this at home...you must get the already chilled Claussen pickle slices.  Warm and then refrigerated pickles just won't cut it.  You need the crunch.  The sandwich shown below includes:
ham, mayo, mustard, pepper jack cheese and of course pickles.
